Hello, The purpose of this blog is to discuss the current events associated with immigration from Mexico into the United States. I hope that everyone posts something relevent to the topic and we all can benefit from eachother. -Devere Sanchez-
this may be off topic, the question is more regarding Native Americans not Mexican American but also has to do with the politics and people running for presidency. we all know that the U.S. belongs to the natives (Native Americans). do u think that who ever is elected will announce an apology for the destruction of a culture and will they create reparations for the loss of hundreds of thousands of native americans, how do u think obama or clinton will respond to this.
I think that regardless of who is elected an apology will be issued but nothing more then words. That is how legislation has always dealt with Native Americans. Similar to other minority groups when they were establishing America hardships were forced on non-white people. Money and land is what it is all about and Obama is an advocate for Native sovereignty and has said he will put forth effort to maintain it. I am unsure of Clinton's views on Native Americans she has not went indpeth on the issue yet -Devere Sanchez-
I am a junior and I am unsure of my future plans. I want to explore my options but, more and more I have been leaning towards becoming a teacher to try to fix some of the problems that I went through.
